Bringing mobility & independence

Our goal is to assist those in need with a vehicle so it becomes a means for them to earn a living and be productive and independent.

 

  • Reliable transportation is essential to living an independent and productive life. Many individuals and families living below the poverty line do not have vehicles which they can rely on. That’s why we provide cars to those in need so they can lead the best lives for themselves and their families.

  • We reserve our cars for women and families in need. We have general guidelines which we follow to determine who receives priority in receiving a car.

  • All of the cars which are passed along to families are generously donated. Along with the vehicle itself, donors will sometimes cover the cost of title transfer, registration, and insurance.  How You Can Support Your Community

Impacts is always on the lookout for the best and most affordable car for our community members. However, the biggest problem we face is finding reliable, affordable used cars. The need for cars is great, and the demand is much higher than the supply. Our system is streamlined so that we have a waiting list of families ready. As soon as a car comes in, we give it out.

At this moment, there are hundreds of Afghan refugees seeking community and support in the Houston area. Many have already arrived, and all of them require cars to thrive in their new home.

Currently, there are no reliable cars available within our humble budget. We want to be ready to purchase as soon as we find a suitable car and to do that, we need immediate funds. To do this, we need your help. Please, donate generously to allow us to purchase more cars and hence help jumpstart more families into self sufficiency.
